Marco Mavilla is an Italian entrepreneur, born in 1966 in Verbania, Italy. He studied at the S. Maria Scientific High School in Milan and furthered his studies at the Catholic University of Milan, where he graduated with a degree in Economics. Mavilla has travelled since childhood, always getting new stimuli, and it is from here that his never-ending need to challenge himself originates. He is incredibly passionate about watches, which he also collects, and is a character of great culture and intuition. In 2005 he founded ToyWatch, bringing success to “perceived” luxury with plastic watch collections, and opened around 700 stores all over the world. In 2013 he founded a new brand that bears his name. Three years later he started working with David Wertheimer, whose family owns one of the most important brands in the fashion and luxury world, which marks an important step in Mavilla’s entrepreneurial career. His latest challenge came to life in 2022 with the brand Ingenieux, which will allow him to become part of the world of luxury watches: through Ingenieux, Marco Mavilla and his colleague and designer Andrea Tamburini intend to bring true innovation to the industry of watchmaking.
